Description
The Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Giardinetta Promiscua was a rare station wagon version of the Giulia, produced in small numbers by independent coachbuilders such as Colli and Grazia in the 1960s and early 1970s. It was designed for practicality while retaining the sporty characteristics of the Giulia lineup. Powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four DOHC engine producing around 102 horsepower, it was paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Despite its wagon body style, it maintained the lightweight construction and rear-wheel-drive layout that made the Giulia known for its handling and driving dynamics.
The design featured an extended roofline, a larger cargo area, and a rear tailgate, making it suitable for both commercial and personal use. The interior remained similar to the Giulia sedan, with a driver-focused dashboard, classic Alfa gauges, and wood trim. Due to its limited production and distinctive blend of sportiness and utility, the Giulia 1600 Giardinetta Promiscua is now a highly sought-after collector’s car.
