Description
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GT 1300 Junior was introduced in 1966 as an entry-level variant of the Giulia coupé lineup, designed by Bertone and sharing the same elegant body as the more powerful models. It was powered by a 1.3-liter inline-four DOHC engine producing 89 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Despite its smaller engine, the car delivered an engaging driving experience, with a top speed of approximately 170 km/h and agile handling thanks to its lightweight construction and well-balanced chassis.
The design retained the classic lines of the Giulia Sprint GT, with a distinctive front grille, round headlights, and clean, flowing proportions. The interior featured a driver-focused dashboard with simple yet stylish instrumentation, offering a blend of sportiness and comfort. The Giulia GT 1300 Junior quickly became popular among enthusiasts for its balance of performance and affordability, remaining one of Alfa Romeo’s most beloved classic coupés.
