Description
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Nuova Super 1300 was introduced in 1974 as an updated version of the Giulia Super, featuring revised styling and minor mechanical refinements. It retained the 1.3-liter inline-four DOHC engine producing 89 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. With a lightweight body of around 1,000 kg and rear-wheel drive, it offered a lively and engaging driving experience, reaching a top speed of approximately 165 km/h.
Visually, the Giulia Nuova Super 1300 featured a redesigned front end with a black plastic grille, larger bumpers, and a cleaner overall appearance while maintaining the aerodynamic efficiency of the original Giulia. The interior received subtle updates for improved comfort and usability. Despite its modest engine size, it was praised for its precise handling, balanced chassis, and classic Alfa Romeo driving dynamics, making it a desirable entry-level model in the Giulia lineup.
