Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale

Category:

Description

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale was a limited-production sports coupé built between 1963 and 1966 as an evolution of the earlier Giulietta Sprint Speciale. Designed by Bertone, it featured an aerodynamic body with flowing lines, a low-slung profile, and a distinctive front end with covered headlights, inspired by Alfa Romeo’s racing prototypes.

Powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four DOHC engine producing 112 horsepower at 6,500 rpm, it was paired with a five-speed manual transmission. With a lightweight body and a top speed of around 190 km/h, the Giulia Sprint Speciale was one of the most aerodynamic production cars of its time, with a drag coefficient of just 0.28.

The interior was minimalistic yet elegant, with a driver-focused dashboard, round instrumentation, and high-quality materials. Combining performance with an avant-garde design, the Giulia Sprint Speciale remains one of Alfa Romeo’s most striking and collectible classic models.
