Description

The Alfa Romeo Giulia TI (Turismo Internazionale) was one of the early versions of the Giulia series, introduced in 1962 as a performance-oriented yet practical sports sedan. It was powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four DOHC engine producing 91 horsepower at 6,200 rpm, paired with a four-speed manual transmission in early models, later upgraded to a five-speed. The Giulia TI was notable for its aerodynamic design, featuring a distinctive boxy yet efficient body shape that contributed to its impressive performance for a sedan of its time. With a top speed of around 170 km/h and a lightweight construction of approximately 1,000 kg, it offered a spirited driving experience. The interior was functional yet stylish, with a driver-focused dashboard and classic Italian design elements. As one of the earliest sport sedans, the Giulia TI set the foundation for Alfa Romeo’s reputation for producing engaging, high-performance four-door cars.
